a decidedly average stay
dirty towels noisy courtyard
i wasn't thrilled with my stay. the bathroom had a leak i mopped, but they just folded the dirty towels back on the rack. the room was too hot and i couldn't adjust the heating. it was also noisy with people traipsing about in the courtyard early.

a reasonably pleasant visit
artistic décor vintage touch steep stairs narrow stairs
the family suite provided ample space for us. the artistic décor with a vintage touch added charm, and the pub garden was a bonus. the breakfast menu offered a wide variety of options. dinner was enjoyable.
the steep and narrow stairs were difficult to navigate, especially with luggage. modern decor inside felt out of place. the lighting in some areas lacked atmosphere.

nice touches good breakfast
The room in the stable area behind the pub was cozy. it was stylish and quiet. I had a good rest. everything about my stay showed attention to detail. The hotel really differentiated itself with lots of nice little touches. i felt welcome there. Breakfast was good.

The room was tastefully decorated. It was well appointed. i had everything i needed. The shower was excellent. the bed was good. I slept very well. lovely towels and bedding were provided in the room.

The staff was lovely. They were very helpful. the staff came in daily to replenish the fresh water, tea, and coffee supplies. a very warm welcome from john created a positive first impression. He did a good job.
